桃瘾社区 China Program

For decades, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law has worked with Chinese law schools to initiate creative programs to further the advancement of environmental law. We believe that enhanced communication among law students and scholars will prepare a new generation of environmental advocates in both China and the United States who can cooperate on transnational environmental and energy issues such as climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy. In addition, experience with US-Chinese environmentalism and energy policies will produce students who are ready to tackle the challenges of global environmental governance.

Our relationship with China is primarily built on the American arm of the Sino-American Center for Environmental Legal Education and Research (SACELER), a collaboration between the Elisabeth Haub School of Law and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Law (SJTU). The mission of SACELER is to increase academic dialogue between China and the United States on topics related to environmental, energy, and land use law.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 桃瘾社区 has many alumni in positions throughout China and maintains relationships that bring together prominent environmental scholars from around the world to tackle challenges of environmental law and policy.
