Facilities and Study Spaces

The 桃瘾社区 Law Library seeks to provide a quiet atmosphere that is conducive to research and study. Books from the stacks may be used anywhere in the library. We kindly ask that you either reshelve material that you have used; or, if you are unable to do so, please return your items to the Circulation Desk so that our staff can reshelve them and make them available for other patrons.

Library Amenities

The following amenities are available within our facilities for current students, faculty, and staff of the law school.

Computer Labs

There are two computer labs within the Gerber Glass Law Center. One lab is located across from the Circulation Desk and the other is located on the third floor of the building (Glass 300). Computers in the labs are connected to the Pharos printers.

Wireless Network

Wireless network access is available throughout the Library. Use of the wireless network is limited to current Haub Law students, staff, and faculty. Alumni who want access should contact Alumni Relations.

Printing

There are three black and white printers and one colored printer in the Gerber Glass Law Center available for law student use. The black and white printers are located outside Glass 300, inside the computer lab across from the Circulation Desk, and inside the stacks on the third stack level. The color printer is located on the second floor of the building, near the staircase. More information about printing is available online by viewing the student printing guide. Additionally, there are Lexis printers in the lab across from the Circulation Desk, which allow you to print from Lexis for free.

Scanner

The Law Library has a free book scanner on the third floor of the stacks. Files can be saved to either a USB flash drive or emailed directly. Scans may also be made on the Pharos printers located throughout the library. Patrons are expected to abide by the Copyright Law (Title 17 U.S.C.) when making scans.

Photocopiers

Students may use the Pharos printers to make photocopies. Patrons are expected to abide by the Copyright Law (Title 17 U.S.C.) when making photocopies.

Phones and Chargers

There are cell phone charging cords available for check-out at the Circulation Desk. An open charging station is available in the open study area on the third floor of Gerber Glass. A charging locker, which may be locked with a code set by the patron, is available in the open study area on the second floor of Gerber Glass.

There is a courtesy phone located near the Library entrance for on campus and intercampus calls. All other telephones in the Library are for staff use only. In consideration of other patrons, we ask that cell phones remain silenced while in the library and that any conversations be conducted in the study rooms or lobby of the building.

Vending Machines

Vending machines with beverages and snacks are located on the second floor of the Gerber Glass Law Center.

Restrooms and Water Fountains

Restrooms and a water fountain are located on the main floor (stack level 3). There are additional restrooms and water fountains on the ground floor and the second floor of the Gerber Glass Law Center. There is a bottle filling station on the second floor of the building.

Study Spaces

The Law Library has a wide array of study areas to meet the needs of our students. Study areas can be found on every floor of the Law Library and includes study space on the second and third floors of the Gerber Glass Law Center. Talking is permitted on the third floor of the Gerber Glass Law Center, but please be considerate of others.

Personal materials, including but not limited to books, laptops, tablets, and phones, should not be left unattended. The Library is not responsible for the security of items left unattended. Any personal materials found in the library will be taken to campus security in Preston Hall. You may ask about any items you have lost at the Circulation Desk.

Study Rooms

There are eight study rooms located on the second floor of the Gerber Glass Law Center and one study room located on the ground floor of the library. Use of these study rooms is restricted to current Haub Law students only. Each student can for one or two hours per day. Reservations may be made up to seven days in advance. Dry Erase markers and erasers for the white boards are available for check out at the Circulation Desk.
