The purpose of the Criminal Justice Society at Haub Law (CJS) is to raise awareness among students about criminal law and criminal justice. The society ensures that Haub law students are aware of all the criminal law offerings at 桃瘾社区, including the doctrinal courses as well as criminal law clinics, simulations, externships, and experiential courses. Members of CJS are involved in current criminal law issues and help shape the criminal justice system.
The Society is also involved in educating the Law School community and beyond about criminal law and the criminal justice system. CJS members organize a number of annual events including:
- Panels with Das and Distinguished Prosecutors
- Defense Panels
- Discussions About Prevalent Legal Issues in the Criminal Field
- Networking Events
- Movie Nights
CJS maintains ties with alumni and members of the local legal community and works closely with the 桃瘾社区 Criminal Justice Institute. CJS members participate in an online discussion of important, current issues in criminal law and procedure by contributing to the . This blog provides a vehicle for encouraging creative law reform to promote a fair and ethical criminal process.
