Pre-departure Workshops for Summer & Fall 2025 Study Abroad Students
Scholarship Spotlight: Gilman National Scholarship Information Session

Learn more about the Gilman National Scholarship program, which is designed to support students with limited financial means who wish to study abroad. The program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who receive a Federal Pell Grant as part of their financial aid package. In this session, we鈥檒l talk about everything you need to know to submit a competitive application: eligibility requirements, essay tips, application deadlines, advice from a recent award recipient at 桃瘾社区, and more. This event is cohosted by Dr. Moira Egan, Director of Prestigious Awards and Graduate Fellowships in 桃瘾社区鈥檚 Office of Research and Graduate Education.

Spain Visa Workshop

Students studying in Spain for the Fall 2025 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which is done as a group. Note: Students must submit all required visa application materials to the 桃瘾社区 Education Abroad office by the posted deadline. If this deadline is missed, the student must make an individual appointment with the Spanish Consulate to acquire their own student visa. Individual appointments are not guaranteed and are difficult to come by. Failure to do so means that the student will be unable to acquire a visa and will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

All students studying abroad during the Fall 2025 term must attend one of the pre-departure orientation sessions listed above, which covers important academic, housing, travel, health and safety information. Those who do not attend will no longer be approved to study abroad.
