October 27, 2022: JeMe Cioppa-Mosca, '88
Senior Vice President, HSS Rehabilitation & Performance
, PT, MBA is the senior vice president of HSS Rehabilitation & Performance. She leads the vision, strategic planning and development of the 350 FTE multidisciplinary and multi-state enterprise and is the founder and director of the HSS Rehabilitation Network, a preferred provider organization of 200 independent therapy practices throughout the New York Tri-state and Florida.
Ms. Cioppa-Mosca oversees the management contract governing the provision of Prosthetics & Orthotics services at HSS, strategic partner initiatives, and corporate onsite physical therapy services. She is passionate about creating a work culture where team members can learn and grow personally and professionally.
She has provided editorial direction on a number of professional publications, including Postsurgical Rehabilitation Guidelines for the Orthopedic Clinician and its companion handbook, and most recently the HSS Rehabilitation Telehealth Evaluation Guidelines for Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy.
Ms. Cioppa-Mosca is an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College and is on the boards of Crutches 4 Kids, NYC Advisors for Friends of Karen, and the Russell Sage College Board of Trustees. In 2019, she was honored with the Wholeness of Life award by the HealthCare Chaplaincy Network, and in 2021 recognized by Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield as one of the Whole Health Heroes for displaying extraordinary leadership and a remarkable commitment to revitalize New York City.
Ms. Cioppa-Mosca earned her MBA from ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø and her BS degree in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College.

is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center. She currently provides anesthesia for adult populations and her goal is to relocate to Los Angeles, California to specialize in pediatric anesthesia.
Anesthesia is her passion and she is beyond excited to share her story with students.
Ms. Yi graduated with a BSN at ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø, Lienhard School of Nursing in May 2013.
March 2, 2023: David L. Reich, MD
President of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens (New York City)
, MD, joined Mount Sinai in 1984. He is the Horace W. Goldsmith Professor of Anesthesiology and was Chair of the department prior to assuming his current positions in 2013.
As an academic cardiac anesthesiologist, he has published more than 200 articles, editorials, and book chapters. As a hospital executive, he has enhanced safety and quality by forming an institute for critical care medicine, rapidly deploying digital innovation tools including AI-enhanced clinical decision support and leading in COVID-19 care and diagnostics. He is the executive sponsor of the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Reich, professor of artificial intelligence and professor of pathology, has been president of the Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens, both part of the Mount Sinai Health System, since 2013. He was chair of the Department of Anesthesiology from 2004-2014 and served as president of the Medical Board in 2011-2012. Prior to his anesthesiology training, Dr. Reich completed two years of residency in general surgery at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. He received his BS degree with highest distinction from The Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
After arriving at Mount Sinai in 1984, Dr. Reich completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia. His honors include the 2011 Physician of the Year from Mount Sinai Nursing, the Mount Sinai Alumni Association Jacobi Medallion in 2014, the 2021 Heart of Gold Award from the NY Heart Association, the 2021 August Heckscher Founder Award for Community Service from CIVITAS, the 2021 Empire Whole Health Heroes Award from Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and Crain’s New York Business, and ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø’s 2022 Changemakers in Healthcare Award. Dr. Reich’s research interests include neurocognitive outcome following cardiac surgery, medical informatics, and hemodynamic monitoring. An academic cardiac anesthesiologist, he has published more than 200 articles, editorials and book chapters.
March 27, 2023: Georgia Keresty, ’88
Independent board director and advisor serving the pharmaceutical and technology industries
, PhD, MBA, MPH, is currently an independent board director and advisor, serving the pharmaceutical and technology industries. Most recently, she spent 3 years at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as the chief operating officer for research and development. Prior to joining Takeda, Dr. Keresty spent 16 years as a vice president and executive leader at Johnson & Johnson and spent the early part of her career at Novartis and Bristol Myers Squibb. Last year, Dr. Keresty was appointed to the Board of Directors for Intellia Therapeutics and Solid Biosciences and has served on the Board of Directors for Aspen Technology, Commissioning Agents, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Clarkson University.
Dr. Keresty received a PhD in Operations Management and an MBA from Rutgers Business School, an MPH in Global Health Leadership from the University of Southern California, an MS in Information Systems from ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø, and BS degrees in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and Computer Science from Ramapo College. Dr. Keresty also received her Directorship Certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
April 14, 2023: Gail Wilder, ’05
Senior Medical Director, UnitedHealthcare
MD, FACEP, Esq., is a graduate of Barnard College and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons (now, the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons). She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and for more than 20 years was in practice as a primary care physician and emergency physician in Rockland and Orange Counties, prior to leaving practice to join managed care. She is currently a senior medical director at UnitedHealthcare where she oversees a team that reviews medical appeals for the commercial and Medicaid lines of business.
In 2000, Dr. Wilder enrolled at ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Law School where she graduated cum laude and was elected to the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Law Review. She is admitted to the bar in Connecticut and New York. After graduation from law school, former dean College of Health Professions Dr. Harriet Feldman invited her to become involved with CHP and she has been on the advisory board since 2017.
October 12: Rose Madden-Baer, DNP
Senior Vice President of Population Health and Clinical Support Services at VNS Health
is the senior vice president of Population Health and Clinical Support Services at VNS Health, a position that includes oversight of the organization’s Care Management Organization, Education and Professional Development, and the community-based in-home Medical and Palliative Care practice. Prior to that, she held positions in clinical operations strategy and development and behavioral health. Before joining VNS Health in 2004, she worked at Metropolitan Jewish Health System in positions that include vice president, quality management.
Dr. Madden-Baer is a consultant associate professor at Duke University and an assistant clinical professor at Yale University and served as chair of the National Advisory Board for the Executive Leadership DNP program at the Duke University School of Nursing.
Dr. Madden-Baer has a bachelor of science in nursing from Long Island University and a master of science in nursing from Hunter College. She holds a master of healthcare administration degree from St. Joseph’s College and a doctor of nursing practice from Duke University. She also received an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. She is board-certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse and received post-graduate certificates from Duke University in Population Care Coordination and in Population Health from the Jefferson College of Population Health.
Dr. Madden-Baer was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing and the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing. She served on the CMS-Technical Expert Panels for Population Health Measures: Multisector Collaboration in 2016, for Home-Based Care Models in 2017, and for Home Infusion Payment Models in 2018. She has served on care models governance committees under New York State’s Delivery System Incentive Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program.
November 15: Paule Valery Joseph, PhD, EMBA, MS, FNP-BC, FTCNS, FAAN, ’10
Lasker Clinical Scholar, National Institutes of Health (NIH) with a joint appointment as Distinguished Scholar at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR)
is a renowned nurse scientist who has markedly impacted chemosensory science, genomics, and precision health. She serves as a Lasker Clinical Scholar at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a Distinguished Scholar at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) and is chief of the Sensory Science and Metabolism Section (SenSMet) at the Division of Intramural Clinical and Biological Research.
With over 100 publications, she is a recognized figure in sensory science research. Her work has been showcased in top-tier academic journals and captured the media's attention. Her insights have been highlighted in various media outlets, reflecting her role as a leading voice in her field. Her research explores how taste and smell influence health, especially in those with chronic illnesses. Specifically, she investigates the neurological mechanisms of chemosensation and its relation to ingestive behaviors, especially in those with obesity and substance use disorders. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she examined the effects of the virus on taste and smell and co-founded the Global Consortium for Chemosensory Research.
Dr. Joseph is a staunch advocate for diversity in science. She mentors and fosters inclusivity, especially for underrepresented individuals. She also leads initiatives such as the Amazing Grace Children’s Foundation in Ghana and the African Research Academy for Women.
Honored with multiple awards, she has been recognized by the National Minority Quality Forum, the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, the Johnson & Johnson- American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and Rockefeller University Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar. She has been recognized with the Ajinomoto Award for Young Investigators in Gustation. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, and a Fellow of the Transcultural Nursing Society. She is also the Inaugural American Academy of Nursing Fellow at the National Academy of Medicine. She received the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø College of Health Professions 2016 Dean’s Alumni Award for Outstanding Professional Contribution, in which she was cited as a role model for faculty and students with visionary thinking, talent, focus, and mastery of sophisticated analytic methods.
A testament to her diverse skill set, Dr. Joseph's educational background encompasses both nursing and the biological sciences. She received an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) at Hostos Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the College of New Rochelle, a Master of Science with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner from ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quantic School of Business and Technology. She completed her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and conducted her Ph.D. work at the Monell Chemical Senses Center, where she focused on sensory biology and genomics. She then completed a Clinical and Translational Postdoctoral Fellowship at the NINR supported by the Office of Workforce Diversity.
December 1: Launette Woolforde, EdD, DNP, ’93
Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at Northwell Health
is the deputy chief nursing officer for Northwell Health and assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Over her 30-year career, including 18 years at Northwell Health, she has served in various roles in the clinical setting in medicine, surgery, and critical care as well as corporate director, vice president, and chief nursing officer.
Dr. Woolforde has led a broad scope of efforts and programs that support the nearly 19,000 nurses across Northwell. She established the system-wide Magnet Council that enabled growth from three Magnet hospitals to ten presently and she developed the system-wide nurse residency program which is accredited with distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
She co-authored the national Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing Professional Development and leads nurse-led healthcare programming abroad with Northwell Center for Global Health.
An internationally recognized leader in nursing, Dr. Woolforde is the recipient of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing International Founders Award, and she was named ANCC National Certified Nurse of the Year.
Dr. Woolforde launched her nursing journey as a student at the Lienhard School of Nursing at ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø. Upon earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Doctor of Education from Columbia University, Teachers College, Dr. Woolforde became the first nurse in Northwell Health to earn two doctoral degrees. She holds two board certifications, is an inductee of the Columbia University -Teachers College Hall of Fame, a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, and a fellow of the esteemed American Academy of Nursing.
