On Wednesday, February 8, all three ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø campuses will host the inaugural Wellbeing Fair, featuring 70+ tables hosted by members of the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Community and our neighbors, in celebration of ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø adopting the Okanagan Charter. Plus, giveaways!

The transition into higher education is always bumpy but can be especially challenging for veterans and those leaving active service. A sense of community not only bridges the civilian-veteran gap, but can also improve veteran’s mental health and sense of purpose after service. Three veterans from the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Community weigh in on the importance of inclusivity, community, and what it means to be a student veteran.

When ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø student Mikaylah Mgbako hosted an event for Social Justice Week, she was looking to put her desire for advocacy into action. What she found was an opportunity to grow, as she opened the door for fifty students to discuss difficult topics such as race, inequality, and injustice.

As a 3L, Pamela was awarded a prestigious Immigrant Justice Corps Fellowship post-graduation. Today, she is following her dreams as she works with the Refugee & Immigrant Program of The Advocates for Human Rights.

Across the country, nearly 40 percent of college students report going hungry, and 52 percent have utilized food pantry services at some point. At ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø, we’re working hard to help offset food insecurity on our campuses and we need your help to do it!

For more than a decade, ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø’s Model UN teams have been competing on the national stage. This year was no different! Back again with some more wins under their belts, ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø’s Model UN team shares their winning experience at this year’s national conference in Washington, DC.
