Residence Halls
Living on campus provides opportunities to form bonds, ease the transition from home to ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø, and make new friends for life.
ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø offers a variety of residence halls within a five-block radius of our buzzing campus and we’ll help you find the right housing option to suit your interests. Residence Life in NYC is a reflection of the city itself – dynamic, diverse, unique. Our residential program is designed to create a supportive environment for students to live, learn, and achieve academic success. Students may live in one of two residence halls walking distance from campus: 182 Broadway or 33 Beekman. View tours of each residence hall below and follow the links for detailed information.

Housing Application Procedure
Please indicate on your ELI Application that you would like to live on-campus in a ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø residence hall. After you have received your acceptance package, you may apply for housing through the MyHousing section of ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Portal. Our Admission team will notify you when you may apply using your ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø student account.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time you apply for housing through the MyHousing section of ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Portal.
Homestays
Staying with a local family is a great way to experience life in New York and practice your English outside of class. To find a homestay, speak with 4stay. 4stay provides homes for international students in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Manhattan, and New Jersey; prices vary depending on location and amenities.
Hotels and Hostels
New York City is full of hotels and hostels.
- Aloft Manhattan Downtown. This hotel is around the corner from ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø’s downtown campus. Special rates are available for ELI students.

- is commonly used by students. Rooms are basic, but a swimming and gym are free for guests. It is an easy trip on the 4, 5 and 6 subway trains.

Apartments
Live like a New Yorker. Many students choose to live in an apartment in New York. This is a very authentic experience. There are a lot of resources available to help you find a roommate or your own apartment. You can find an apartment or roommate through .
